SUMMARY

Ginbot 7 (G-7) is a political party founded in 2008 that promotes change of regime in Ethiopia, not excluding military means. The party is thus illegal. The party mobilise Ethiopians in and outside the country. There is uncertainty to what extent G-7-activity take place in Ethiopia. Ethiopians have been arrested, charged and in some instances sentenced to imprisonment for acts of terror on behalf of G-7. It is however unclear whether there is ample evidence for their convictions, or the charges are used as a pretext to limit unwanted oppositional activity.
